Dr. Bridget Stirling

Bridget Stirling, RN, BSCN, MPH, PhD is a public health specialist and researcher. Dr. Stirling has been a Dean and educator, and has worked Internationally, in the area of disease control for over 17 years. She has advised on a number of epidemiology and disease control projects, including work for national and international organizations.


Dr. Sandra Holmes

Sandra Holmes RN, MN, Ph.D. is a researcher and educator. She has a Ph.D. and Master's degree in nursing. Her areas of strength include evidence-based practice, distance education, and clinical practice. She has extensive experience directing research projects, designing and disseminating research study findings, and promoting evidence-based practice. Sandra participates in the education and development of nursing staff and in quality improvement projects. Sandra brings a range of expertise and strength from Clinical nursing knowledge and Evidence-Based Decision-making.

Paula Littlejohn BScN, MA

Content Developer

Paula Littlejohn is a an award winning academic and health writer. Paula has worked in public health, maternity and leadership roles. Paula has written for major publishing companies and has published in academic journals. Paula has experience in Continuing Education and has developed curricula and lead courses that have supported both public sector institutions and private sector businesses. 

Dawn Winterburn RN, BScN, IIWCC

Dawn has a varied background in nursing, working in the Operating Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Critical Care Unit, as well as Community Health. She has taught nursing at both the college and university levels. Dawn has taken training in infection control practices and has her IIWCC-so is a specialist in advanced wound care. Her varied background, as well as her lengthy experience in Community Health, makes her a valuable asset to the team.

Mary Mavretic BSN, MN

Content Developer

Mary Mavretic is an academic and clinical specialist. She brings to the team clinical expertise (chronic diseases) and curriculum development experience. Mary has a background in chronic disease management and community care.

Shona M Lalonde MN, PHN, BscN, RGN

Public Health/ Health Promotion Specialist

Shona is a knowledgable public health specialist with a background in improving the physical and mental health of priority populations. She has experience in curriculum design, social epidemiology and health promotion. Shona has developed and delivered programs in nursing, refugee health and risk communication. 

Kevin Paetz

Kevin is an experienced President and COO and has worked for various public and privately held financial institutions for over 25 years.  He has extensive operational and financial experience both domestically and internationally and has successfully scaled numerous companies across a broad market segment around the globe.

Sandra Bast

Sandra Bast has a background in communications and as a supervisor of hospital unit clerk staff. She is currently working towards her hospital administration degree.

Reggie Bast

Reggie is a recent graduate from UVic’s Sociology Honours programme (with a minor in Philosophy). He is an extremely creatively-driven individual with experience in music, videography, digital photography, and writing. He is passionate about bringing communities of people together in a creative environment to promote innovation and the sharing of ideas.
